Crappie Fishing Tips, Check Out These Amazing Fishing For Crappie! What a Ride

Everyone has there own ideas about the best time to fish when fishing for crappie. I've got a good friend who works construction and works pretty much from first light to dark during the summer months.
Thats probably the reason he loves to go fishing for crappie when he can get out on the ice. It's the only time he gets to drop a line. He's a pro at dragging huts and augers on the lake. Ice fishing isn't my thing though... every time I go on the ice, I hear popping noises and visualize huge cracks opening up and dropping me in for an icy dip.
Well, enough with the stories my point is crappie are pretty hardy fish. The great thing about the crappie you can catch them at several different times during the day, and in all the seasons of the year. And believe it or not in just about in any weather conditions. You've just got to know how. I have developed a list of crappie fishing tips that I think will be very helpful when you plan on fishing for crappie.
Crappie Fishing Tips #1: You may not believe this, but the night hours between dusk until midnight are very productive times to catch crappie almost any time during the year.
Tip#2: An even better time to be fishing for crappie in some parts of the country is 6-8am in the morning. It works like crazy in the Northeast.
Tip#3: If you are fishing for crappie in moving water then you will want to to switch between live bait and artificial bait, depending on how active the fish are. Remember crappies are cold-blooded and the water controls their body temperature.Look for places in moving water where crappie might be hiding waiting for bait fish to swim by, you will have to put your bait right in front of there nose's but boy will they really hit!
If crappie are sluggish , it is because they are uncomfortable. Kind of like your neighbor that doesn't have air conditioning or is still using a wood burning stove when things get cold. They just don't feel like doing anything until its right in their face!
Crappie Fishing Tips #4: Many fisherman head for the marina once it starts raining but maybe you should wait. If it there is no thunder or lightning, I have found that a great time to go crappie fishing is during the rain, crappie love to bite during the rain!
Tip#5: I have found when you are fishing in a lake you will want to stay close to the shore line, and make sure you move your bait around quite a bit.Don't just cast your line out thinking the crappie will come to you. Chances are you will have a boring fishing trip if you try this practice.
